In this workshop we will explore the principles of Ayurveda to restore balance for a healthy mind and body. According to Ayurveda, our physical bodies are composed of three different doshas known as Vata, Kapha, and Pitta. All three doshas constantly fluctuate according to our environment, our diet, the seasons, the climate, our age, and many more factors.

When we recognize when our mind and body feels “in” or “out” of balance we can begin to restore our natural state of bliss and true balance through diet, sleep, pranayama, yoga, meditation, and Ayurvedic self-care techniques to support our individual dosha or body type.

What you will learn:

  • Introduction to Ayurvedic principles to restore balance for a healthy body and mind.

  • Take a dosha quiz to find out your Vikruti or current imbalances.

  • Explore how pranayama, mantras, mudras, asanas, and meditation can restore your natural state of balance and bliss.

  • Enjoy a tri-doshic spice tea.

  • Discussion on Ayurvedic lifestyle, seasonal recipes for each dosha, daily routines and cleanses.

  • Abhyanga (Ayurvedic self-massage)

  • Sangha - 15 min. of sharing insights and experiences

No prior knowledge of Ayurveda is required, just a playful curiosity to experience the wisdom of Ayurveda.

Takeaways: Handout with an introduction to Ayurveda with yoga sequences and Ayurvedic nutrition tips for balancing the doshas.
