Glad to be back

I feel a bit giddy about launching my new website and starting a new class at The Yoga Center.

I took a break from teaching last March because I was in a bad car collision which resulted in a fractured sternum. So not only did I walk around in a complete daze for several weeks following my accident, I could barely move my body the way I was used to without feeling pain throughout my chest and shoulder girdle. Over the past several months I have regained most of my strength - I’m taking long walks in the mornings, going to spin classes to really sweat out the toxins, and allowing myself time to heal and reflect on my yoga path. I feel fortunate that I have been practicing yoga for over 22 years - my yoga practice has prepared me to be patient during my healing process and understanding that I am not in control of many things and that’s okay and finally and most importantly, I can send compassion to my heart which allows me to smile even when I’m not feeling my best.

I’m looking forward to reconnecting with my sangha when I start teaching again on July 1. 2021.
